A Few of My Favorite Things...

I woke up on Saturday morning and for the first time in five and one-half years, I did not have a dissertation paper to write! So I am celebrating by remembering January and a few of my favorite things over this month - that I didn't take the time to blog about...
Watching my mother-in-law feed the "herd" of cats as the late afternoon sunlight fades in Oklahoma...

Celebrating the New Year playing Mexican Train Dominoes and Toasting with Sparkling Grape Juice. There was a lot of laughter that night...

Reuniting with old friends (four National Jr. Angus Board Members and our Advisor)... over a fantastic dinner in Old Town Denver during Stockshow.

Flowers from my husband for our Anniversary...makes me long for spring.

Today I woke up and read in bed until 10 am - until the book I was reading was DONE. HEAVEN!
Then we made a spur of the moment trip to the Grasslands in Eastern Colorado this morning to get out and breathe...

A place filled with windmills
Cattle guards and fence posts....and thats about it! But it is vast and glorious nevertheless.

The wind was so strong and cold it made your eyes water. But it was time away from the computer with my boys....

Mark and Boone.
These are a few of my favorite things. I praise God for these blessings.
